We can touch upon various meanings of truth; one of them would be, “it is a phenomenon that does not require further clarification or proof. It can be something that can be verified with absolutely certainty”. The Truth is a verified and indisputable aspect. A belief accepted by someone can become an indisputable truth for that person. When a person’s belief is challenged the truth as it is for that person will not change on the basis of the outside challenge. When something becomes my truth, with my experience, nothing can change it. Truth can be at some level be understood by; ‘Hari Om Tat Sat’ it means ‘that is truth’, that which one sees with one’s eyes and that which is beyond eyes is one and the same.
Truth simply IS.
There are dime a dozen questions that are floating around regarding the nature of truth, which even today is being debated by scholars. What is the criteria for truth that allows us to identify and distinguish it? We live in a time when we need to find out whether the truth about the idea of truth is also truth. Truth by itself does not require support from any other quarter, as the mentioning of some truth itself is a proven fact. Truth exists neither in the
past nor in the future. Truth is timeless. Whatever IS abides.
How does one come to terms with the truth? One needs to be aware of who, what, where, how one is. By becoming aware of the present, the truth can be experienced in its entirety. Reality simply IS like truth. The word reality encompasses the whole of existence. There are people who are past and/or future oriented, neither understand the reality that is ‘TRUTH’. If one is past-oriented then you will be always be hankering for the future and if one is
future-oriented than past will always be a reference point, hence comparison arises again.
Whatever abides continues and whatever continues remains. Whatever remains
perpetuates. Let us consider the fact that you do not look at the past and/or the future, as
both refer to a timeline. Being aware of these aspects, if I were to experience only the now the fact that you took an X amount of time to become aware that there is only the - Here and Now, that moment of realization, under normal circumstances would have moved on, now perpetually changes, thereby remaining constant. Whatever perpetuates becomes Eternal.
Can we say that truth is old or new? If we say that truth is old as creation and new as the newborn baby, then we are labeling truth as having a beginning and an end. What I am trying to say is that truth is Eternal. Eternal, not in the sense of being permanent, but, truth is beyond time and hence cannot be labeled as something that is permanent and permanency again has a reference to time. If truth is considered to be old then again we are attaching an expiry date to it. If we say truth is new, then at some point it will become old and hence again has a reference to time. TRUTH is simply the constant. The absolute.
Logic is Lame. Facts are Frivolous. Reality is Relative.
TRUTH IS ABSOLUTE.
