I – M – M – U – N – I – T - Y
Whatever you resist persists, let’s talk about this pandemic crisis. In context of today’s environment, the biggest treasure of human life has become “Immunity”. It is lost because people are dis–integrated, dis–oriented and are on the path of degeneration as a civilization. Inappropriate food, inappropriate behaviour, inadequate fitness inputs, poor rest, completely disintegrates us. And to add to it mental anxiety, emotional upheavals and spiritual unrest.
When all these aspects of life come together in order, Immunity happens.
Immunity could also mean – I AM UNITY, I am one with my being. My unit consciousness is synchronized with the Universal consciousness.
If you are in unity with yourself and if you are synchronized with the unit rhythm of yourself, you will then be synchronized with the rhythm of the cosmos, you will be in flow.
The etymology of word rhythm – comes from the word Hriday, and hriday is the predetermined rhythm of your life. With this rhythm you will be in absolute flow of your systems and functions and your circadian rhythm will be in line with the geomagnetic forces. Because of which there could be up regulation! Upgradation! Upscaling! of your physiology, up gradation of your hormones, and up scaling of your immunity. It is the throb of the cosmos and if you are calm, collected and peaceful you will get naturalized, optimized & immunized. It is said, Heart beats are synchronized with the throb of the earth’s movement, with the pulse of the cosmos, with the frequency of the electromagnetic field, with the movement of the planets and it gets aligned with the entire universe. There is this kind of oneness which is the harmonizing factor.
Wellness leads you to oneness, and wellness means wholeness – wholeness means totality as we get integrated and once again immunity is the outcome. Anyone who is integrated is bound to have vibrant immunity, as the person who is calm and collected is representation of UNITY.
And Yoga single handedly can bring you to this state. One beautiful fact about Yoga is that Yoga is a confluence of energies and this confluence when in harmony neutralizes all the contradiction and conflict when you are completely centered. This gives rise to 360 degree of systems, functions, organs and processes to work to optimal capacity. Confluence of energies is complementing in nature which contributes towards overall well-being.
Congruency is also important. Congruency is when all hearts and minds are aligned in a sacred geometry. When you are congruent in your participation then you are also congruent with cosmos. We are harmonizing with the electromagnetic field, with the pulse of creativity. So this sacred congruence is also called yoga. When we do yoga postures, yoga asanas it becomes postures in poetry. And when this poetry of postures becomes one with the energy of the environment, it builds immunity block by block.
We were first just a speck of a chemical in the realm of a volcano detected after the big bang, probably that is called chemo-litho-auto tropic hypothermo file, from that we became human beings. That journey took 14.8 billion years. And that human being in super conscious state can counter the forces of entropy. Entropy is the universal tendencies of orderliness breaking into disorderliness.
When we are subjected to time, matter, space, light, motion, mass, causation and effect, And may I add gravity... Life gets into dis-array…dis-order, dys-function, dis- ease, decay and death. Yoga has potential to repair and restore, to rejuvenate and regenerate to counter such imbalances of the forces of entropy. Yoga gives us tools of transformation and there are 8 limbs of Yoga called Asht-angasa which is spelt out as …Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi. Let me try and explain in layman terms the universal laws of dos and don’ts, self discipline, asanas - postures in poetry for awareness, self regulation through regulated breath, internalization of senses, focus, determination,360 degrees of awareness. The above is the perfect counter - balance to the forces of entropy with all self organizing pervasive and permeating intelligence.
I repeat, I AM IN TUNE, I AM IMMUNE!
This happens when you are completely orchestrated with your healing faculties’ health and the outcome of which is health and health simply means organic unity. Healing happens! The Etymology of health as in latin is - Heal-thy, heal- them, heal-thou; and of course its common sense heal yourself better, serve yourself so well so that you can serve this universe better. Be selfish for now.
The best time to jump start immunity build up is morning time. We need to rise with energy for immunity and we need to sleep to rest for restoring immunity. We generally tend to miss out the best gifts of life which are free. First is that we can soak in the sun and trigger serotonin, have breath for breakfast and empower our lungs and get ourselves into heightened energy mode. Have an air bath with the flow of the air and let your negativity be washed away and WOW wouldn’t that be super. Get intense energy from earth’s magnetic field, by bowing and touching your forehead on the earth for a few moments to few minutes in absolute surrender and then await for the miracles throughout the day. The sun, the earth, the air, the ether, the water will perk you up with vitality.
Illuminate your frame of mind, get anchored into optimism, have clarity in your vision and nourish yourself being self inspired and self motivated. This too translates into immunity. All the feel good hormones get activated with cosmic nutrition.
The food way of life to build immunity would be:
1) Eat regional & seasonal...
2) Eat only when hungry.
3) Try and have raw fruits /vegetables/ sprouts until lunch and finish the dinner by or before sunset.
The rule of the thumb for eating would be eat vegetables to heal you, fruits to cleanse you, dry fruits, nuts and seeds to fortify you and herbs to regulate you.
Your eating should be a celebration and not an indulgence. Please eat and do your workouts like a human and not an animal.
Sattvic food will give you sattva bhavas, gunas and sanskaras. Health happens - healing happens. As much food is useful to regenerate you, as much it can also be used to cleanse and regulate you.
Talking about cleansing, it is the ideal way of eating and intermittent fasting with 16 hour gap would be ideal with lunch being your primary meal. It is also called the creative science of Autophagy. This allows your body to self cleanse - self regulate – and self restore.
Herbal teas by the day and chamomile tea by night will add great value.
We should align with the principles of nature. As much as activity is important so is passivity. So deep meaningful rest every night after an early dinner could do wonders for your immunity. One side the sunlight gives you serotonin on other side under the moonlit dark sky there is a secretion of melatonin to sooth us calm us.
Rest heals, rest makes you whole, rest repairs and rest revitalizes. REST HEALS that is rest makes you WHOLE.
Immunity is at its peak in the most rested body as energy is conserved and breath is preserved. In short, with the above.
